Boarding

We are pleased to provide quality boarding at our private facility.  We offer a select number of stalls, with an emphasis on our level of care, limiting the number of boarders we accept to ensure we maintain the highest quality standards.

Horse care is undertaken by Lainey, combining formal British Horse Society stable management training with over thirty years of experience in the industry.  For three years, she provided barn management at a Pinellas County boarding barn, and the client testimonials page includes some feedback from boarders at this facility.

Jack provides overall management of the property, whether assisting with the horses or carrying out maintenance and improvement projects.  He is also our resident 'grill guru', cooking up a mean burger or steak for our picnics.  Using the expertise from his other business, "Amulet Home Theater & Custom Cabling"http://www.amulethometheater.com, Jack also manages and monitors the security and music distribution on the property.  If you have any requirements in this field, please feel free to ask Jack's advice!

Our seven stall barn has been renovated and repainted, offering spacious, airy stalls for each horse, and our tackroom has been fully refurbished, offering large tack lockers for each horse, complete with two saddle racks and two bridle hangers (more available if needed).  Each locker has enough space for all of your equipment, with a large shelf above the tack racks.

The tackroom also doubles as our clubhouse, offering a comfortable sitting area, large-screen TV with DVD player and a selection of magazines, as well as many popular saddlery catalogues for you to browse or borrow.  The tackroom also has a fridge/freezer for boarder use, along with a microwave oven.

We have recently installed additional exterior lighting to cover the washrack area, and obviously the barn aisle and stalls have lighting for those winter evenings.  Security lights also cover the front of the barn, with some 'ambient' lighting within the barn area all night.  Our property is covered by security cameras, recorded onto a DVR, offering the comfort of constant surveillance.  We live on site and horses are monitored regularly throughout the day.

With some ten lush acres of well-established pasture, horses can spend the whole day enjoying a natural environment, whether grazing, taking shelter under the graceful oaks or perhaps splashing in the pond.

The pastures have automated water troughs, filled from our well, to ensure there is always a plentiful supply of fresh water, purified through our water softener.

Our full board includes daily stall cleaning and all-day turnout, with two grain feeds and supplemental hay as required.  We currently feed Nutrena brand grains (however alternatives can be discussed/arranged if necessary), and either T&A or O&A hay (depending upon quality of available supply).  Daily supplements such as ground flax seed can be added to your horse's ration for a small additional charge, or you may provide your own, pre-measured supplements, which we will add at no charge.  All prices are shown on our "Services & Pricing" page, however if you have a specific request, please get in touch to discuss.

We have good relationships with local vets and farriers, however boarders are always welcome to retain the services of their own preferred professionals for these services.
